ARNOLD’S BAR AND GRILL RELEASES LIMITED EDITION VINYL WITH NELTNER SMALL BATCH RECORDS.
Chris Breeden is a champion of street art, music and his mother’s historic tavern in Cincinnati, OH. Chris manages the establishment with his mother Ronda and his wife Bethany and curates the bar’s incredible drink offering as well as local and national artists. Recently Arnold’s partnered with long time collaborator Keith Neltner who himself has done countless projects with the Breedens (including branding Arnold’s) to create a “small batch” vinyl release of 300, signed, numbered pieces.
The record features ten musical acts that have graced the stage in Arnold’s courtyard such as the Kentucky Struts, Jake Speed and the Freddies, the Sundresses to name a few.
The vinyl was pressed and produced in Musicol Pressing in Columbus, Ohio, a very small producer that has seen a resurgence in recent years. The artwork is a collaboration between Neltner and tattoo artist, Nate Hudak and is being letterpress printed at Otto Printing in Newport, KY.
“Every aspect of this project is homegrown and hand made. I’ve always been fascinated by vinyl and its artifact quality, forever pressing these sounds into a physical object. Its incredible and so appropriate for us to be releasing it on Record Store Day 2015. NSB Records is really just an extension of how our creative studio works.” explains Neltner.
